PLP Reading Kits are unique in that the reading has speeds of narration from 40wpm to 120wpm. Standard audio books are read at 200wpm. Each kit contains a print copy of the book, audio at a slow speed, all in a sturdy folder ready for library or classroom uses. Our kits are suitable for people with reading disability, intellectual disability, ESL students, adult learners and reluctant readers at school.
"Do CALD students have trouble with basic literacy and ask your library for appropriate books?" PLP Reading Kits are read at slower speeds to allow all level students of English to follow along (with the print). You will find our specially adapted resources in schools, TAFE colleges and public libraries across Australia and internationally. PLP is also producing its own series of Easy To Read print books which are being packaged as Reading Kits with 3 different reading speeds. In the adult, teenage and children's section you will find something for your library or school for English as a Second Language, Adult Literacy or Special Needs collection.
